Founding Principles
The core code of conduct that governs AHEADS operations across every region we support.
Grassroots Ownership
Every campaign is planned and implemented alongside local community leaders. If a village doesn't feel ownership of a clinic or solar grid, the development is temporary. We listen first.
Radical Transparency
We track every dollar spent on materials, wages, and logistics. Our donors see progress updates and can audit project sheets. Trust is our absolute cornerstone.
Eco-Resource Balance
Development must respect the land. We do not support agricultural projects that strip nutrients or water tables. Our campaigns merge agroforestry with health hubs.
Equity & Digital Inclusivity
We ensure women, girls, and minority community subgroups are represented at decision-making tables. We bring internet capabilities to schools so rural youths are not left behind.

Ruqia Mohamed
"Educator, mentor, and consultant with experience in curriculum design and teacher training in fragile states."
As the founder of a day school in Garowe, Somalia, Ruqia Mohamed has dedicated her career to sustainable educational reform and community empowerment. Her vision of accessible, quality education as a human right serves as the baseline for all of AHEADS' operations.
With decades of practical experience on the ground, she has developed programs that transition communities from dependency on external aid to robust self-reliance. Under her leadership, AHEADS works hand-in-hand with regional leaders to build hospitals, classrooms, and water resources that are locally owned and managed.
